OSWALD LANZ - ON-LEAVE / PERMANENT RESEARCHER AT FONDAZIONE BRUNO KESSLER

Research Scientist at Fondazione Bruno Kessler - FBK and former head of the computer vision research Unit TeV of FBK.

Main research interests belong to the area of computer vision and machine learning and are centered on methods and systems for video understanding and 3d scene analysis. I have worked extensively on object detection and tracking, audio-visual tracking, head pose estimation and group detection for human behavior analysis. My research focus is currently on representation learning for video understanding and its applications to video action recognition, video retrieval based on text queries, and video question answering.
