I received BSc and MSc degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Brescia (Italy) in 2007 and 2010, respectively. I completed the Master thesis at Queen Mary University of London on the estimation of the ball position in basketball scenarios by looking at the behaviour of players. I then received my Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London (UK) in March 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Cavallaro. I continued working as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Queen Mary University of London for two years and half under the European project COPCAMS (ARTEMIS).
I joined FBK-TeV in 2016 to conduct research and development activities in the context of visual scene understanding under the European project REPLICATE (H2020). Research activities include topics such as detection and tracking, registration, mapping and 3D modelling, and multi-sensor fusion to enable Augmented and Mixed Reality.
My research interests are in computer vision, image processing, video analysis and signal processing. I'm experienced in
video multi-object detection and tracking
performance evaluation of tracking algorithms
behaviour understanding and human interactions analysis in videos
optical flow analysis
robot vision for collision avoidance and coordination of multiple agents in a swarm.
