Amir Hamza is a PhD student at Fondazione Bruno Kessler and University of Trento, Italy. He received a B.S Degree in Electrical Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad in 2017 and a M.S Degree in Electrical Engineering from Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2022. His master’s thesis was “A Comprehensive Comparative Analysis of State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Face Recognition Algorithms under Diverse Degradation Conditions” done in collaboration with Video Analytics Lab at Pakistan Naval Engineering College (PNEC), Karachi.

His PhD research is related to Deep learning for vision-based scene understanding.
