wood inspection

Veneeresult  project

The project aims to: a) automatically identify the grain in walnut wood so as to identify, in the absence of defects, the most excellent aesthetic value; b) enriching the machine learning algorithm developed for the analysis of wood defects by making it capable of able to assess the best destination of the workpiece on the basis of an analysis of its intrinsic value on the basis of dimensional and value criteria; c) translating the destination decided by the algorithm physically on the piece to be worked by means of an automatic laser marking and automation system automatic laser marking and automation system

Role of TeV Unit consists in enriching the optimisation algorithm, already elaborated on the basis of the identification of defects in the context of the project Defectless, with further evaluation criteria that take into account the degree of value of the wood and consequently redirect the decision on the best way to continue the production process.
