Comet McNaught

Today we publish an excellent example of astrophotography that also includes the outline of some mountains.

The author is Marco Fulle and his photo was originally published on the C.ircolo AS.trofili T.almassons (CAST) website.

This photo was taken from the top of Monte Panarotta (2002m) looking approximately West (246.14 – 248.98 degrees), on January 12, 2007 16:30 UT, when Comet McNaught was at perihelion (0.171 AU).
