Gesture, Action and Activity Recognition
We conduct research on vision based gesture recognition, action recognition and activity analysis, with particular emphasis on user-adaptation and the integration with other modalities such as acoustic scene analysis.
Natural human-computer interaction requires advanced interfaces able to process multi-sensory information concerning user state, intention, and environment in a robust and natural way, responding, anticipating, and adapting to user verbal and non-verbal requests, functionality level, state, preferences, and the scene. Within this context, we carry out research on vision based gesture recognition, action recognition and activity analysis, with particular emphasis on user-adaptation and the integration with other modalities such as acoustic scene analysis.
