VIABILITA
VIABILITA (VIdeo ABILIty for Traffic Analysis) is an experimental system for traffic monitoring installed near Trento. By processing and analysing the images acquired by means of two video cameras looking at the road, the system extracts automatically traffic parameters (volume, speed, ...) and detects queues in both directions.

At the installation step, by means of a graphical user interface, the operator can select the regions to be monitored (typically the lanes). The same GUI permits the operator the connection to the local station in order to view images, receive data about current traffic status, and download past collected information.
